The Mack Denver Story
The Mack Denver Story is a series of 21 novellas about the life of a private eye in post-war America. The first book— Young Gun In New York— Introduces Mike Delaney, a young man with problems. Helped by a former Marine turned cop, he finds stability of sorts. But soon another more tempting offer appears in the form of Joe Macy a Private Eye from Boston. By the end of the book, Delaney is floating face down in the Hudson—or is he?
Little is known about the author, Eddie McBoon, who may have been involved in the criminal world himself, and who disappeared in 1965.
Recently rediscovered and now being reissued, the series is being republished in installments. The first three books are now available, with the fourth due out shortly. The rest of the series will be issued periodically… stay tuned!

Reader reviews…
“This is a non-stop Coney Island switchback ride of a novel. There’s also a nicely atmospheric sub-theme about the early days of television. Highly recommended!”
“A sharp, witty noir that feels straight out of a smoky jazz club. Packed with colorful characters, snappy, dialogue, and twisty action, it nailed the greedy detective vibe without dragging. Fans of classic crime fiction and modern thrillers alike will enjoy the stylish and fast paced ride.”
“Its an easy read, but far from simple... so vividly written you can almost hear the jazz in the background and see the neon lights reflecting off the wet streets. Perfect for fans of classic detective novels with plenty of grit and action.”
